Coi Leray is making waves again with a new leak from her upcoming album. The song “Make My Day” is one of the first leaks off Leray’s forthcoming album, COI, and has fans buzzing in anticipation.
Coi Leray Collins, known professionally as Coi Leray, has been a significant player in the music industry since her debut in 2018. The American rapper and singer started her music career with tracks on SoundCloud and quickly gained traction with her debut mixtape, Everythingcoz, and her breakout single, “Huddy.”
The following years saw Leray solidifying her position in the industry, releasing her second mixtape, EC2, and her debut studio album, Trendsetter, in 2019 and 2022, respectively. Both projects featured collaborations with big names, and her singles, “No More Parties” and “Blick Blick,” reached the top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Now, Leray is gearing up for her next project, COI. The album’s tracklist, recently revealed on Instagram, is set to feature a diverse range of contributors, including David Guetta, Saucy Santana, Giggs, Lola Brooke, and Skillibeng.
Among the songs listed for the album are “Bitch Girl,” “My Body,” and her TikTok hit, “Players,” along with the recently leaked track “Make My Day.” “Make My Day” has already piqued the interest of Leray’s fanbase, being the first taste of what’s to come in the new album.
In addition to “Make My Day,” Leray also released a teaser for another track called “Make My Day,” which samples Technotronic’s “Pump the Jam.” Her caption, “One of my favourite songs off my project…,” suggests that we can expect a project filled with Leray’s personal favorites.
The release of COI, set for June 23, is a follow-up to Leray’s debut album, Trendsetter, released in April 2022. While Trendsetter didn’t quite hit the high marks on the US Billboard 200, the diverse and somewhat unexpected collaborations in COI have sparked discussions among fans, with many eagerly awaiting what Leray has to offer this time around.
