Hemlocke Springs is proud to present their debut EP, “going…going…Gone!”. The EP is a culmination of their previous successful singles, starting with “Gimme All Ur Luv” in May 2022. The EP features a blend of synth-pop with their unique songwriting style, including four of their previous releases and three brand new tracks.
Hemlocke Springs has announced that her debut EP “Going…Going…Gone!” will be released on September 29. She also shared the first single of the project, “enknee1,” which she wrote after a period of intense self-reflection.
According to a press release, the young artist explained that she began working on the song in December during a tough period when she struggled with self-dislike and wondered if anyone would accept and love her for who she is. “In hindsight, I was a little dramatic (haha!), and cliché, nevertheless it made for a great song, one I finished AGAIN after ANOTHER emotional period!” said Hemlocke.
She noted that the songs from the EP are records of her thoughts as she transitioned from the teenage/young-adult phase to adulthood. While at times her lyrics may sound a bit silly, she believes that it serves as a way to cover up her impending fears that will only grow as she gets older. Singing to a beat with self-deprecating lyrics is the perfect way to deal with that.
Isimeme Naomi Udu, also known as Hemlocke Springs, is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer. She rose to fame in 2022 with her viral TikTok hit “Girlfriend”.
