Boygenius announced the release of a new EP titled ‘The Rest’ on October 13th, featuring 4 brand-new songs. Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers, and Lucy Dacus collaborated to create a companion to their previous album.
Boygenius has recently announced the release of The Rest, a four-song companion to their new album The Record. The EP features four new songs, but only the title of the opening track, “Black Hole,” has been revealed. The band gave the track its live debut in Boston, and an excerpt of the performance is available to listen to. Photographer Matt Grubb has created the artwork for the new EP, which is set to be released on October 13 via Interscope.
Boygenius and Tony Berg, Jake Finch, Ethan Gruska, Calvin Lauber, Collin Pastore, and Marshall Vore produced The Rest. The EP will be available for digital and streaming release, as well as on 10″ vinyl in both black and transparent yellow versions, and CD. Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers, and Lucy Dacus recently released a new music video for The Record’s “Cool About It.”
Boygenius is an indie supergroup hailing from the United States, formed in 2018 by the talented trio comprising of Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers, and Lucy Dacus. Their debut EP, which was self-titled, was crafted and recorded at Sound City Studios in Los Angeles. On January 18, 2023, the band announced that they were releasing their debut studio album, named ‘The Record’, which was made available on March 31 of the same year.
