League of Legends & NewJeans (뉴진스) “Gods” Download MP3
Riot Games has announced that NewJeans will be the performing artist for the 2023 League of Legends World Championship.
As the esports season concludes, the song “GODS,” written by Riot Games’ principal composer Sebastien Najand and Alex Seaver of Mako, will be performed. The song is a rallying cry for the community, conveying the grind and glory that awaits players at Worlds.
The music video for the song follows the story of Korean pro player Kim “Deft” Hyuk-kyu, from his discovery of League of Legends in high school to his unbelievable run at Worlds 2022. The video also describes his unbreakable spirit and how his team overcame all odds to become World Champions.
NewJeans is excited to try a new genre and sound, and the band hopes the song will give the audience a new sense of empowerment. Maria Egan, Global Head of Music & Events at Riot Games Entertainment, said, “NewJeans joins the ranks of superstars such as Imagine Dragons, Zedd, and Lil Nas X who have helped make the anthem such an iconic moment for our community.”
