Scouting For Girls, The Place We Used To Meet Album Download Leak MP3 ZIP Files
Scouting For Girls is a well-known indie-pop band known for hit songs such as ‘She’s So Lovely’, ‘This Ain’t A Love Song’, and ‘Heartbeat’.
As they planned their seventh studio album, the trio wondered where to go next. Their solution was to return to their roots and reconnect with the reasons they started a band in the first place.
They are now releasing their new album ‘The Place We Used To Meet’ on October 13th. The band still consists of the original line-up of Roy Stride, Greg Churchouse, and Peter Ellard.
The album was written and recorded in the same way as their debut single ‘She’s So Lovely’ in 2007. It features instantly memorable, life-affirming, singalong indie-pop songs that resonate with stories of longing and loss. Roy Stride says, “It’s the best collection of songs we’ve ever had, and I’ve loved every minute of making it.”
While Scouting For Girls are in their best place in years, their return was not without challenges. After losing 18 months of touring due to Covid restrictions, they were eager to hit the road again. However, Roy’s life unravelled, and he realised he needed to make a change. On New Year’s Eve of 2021, he dedicated the start of 2022 to recovery.
During the recovery process, he questioned whether he would still want to play live and make music. But gradually, he rediscovered his love for being in a band. The trio spent more time together, and the shows became a celebratory experience of reconnecting with their fans. They also created new songs at a rapid pace.
The album is now available to pre-order from their official store, which offers signed CDs and vinyl, a Deluxe CD with a bonus disc, and Amazon, which stocks a signed CD and standard black vinyl. HMV and select indie stores also offer an exclusive orange vinyl format. Fans who pre-order the album before 5 pm on Tuesday, April 18th, will receive a code to access an exclusive pre-sale for tour tickets.
‘The Place We Used To Meet’ headline tour dates are listed below. They will also play two runs of shows as very special guests to Olly Murs: next week’s arena tour and a second run of outdoor and arena dates later in the summer. They also have a busy festival schedule which includes Isle of Wight, Camp Bestival, and the Neighbourhood Weekender.
Scouting For Girls success has included four Top 10 singles, four Top 10 albums, 2 million sales, and over a billion streams. They have also received four BRIT Awards and an Ivor Novello.
