The Dandy Warhols‘ “Rockmaker” Album Download Leak MP3 ZIP Files

The Dandy Warhols have announced the release of their new album, ROCKMAKER, which will be out on March 15, 2024, via Sunset Blvd Records.

The lead singer, Courtney Taylor-Taylor, explains that the album is the band’s manifestation of their desire to hear a record of heavy raw punk and metal guitar riffs, with a cooler and sexier sound that has its own alley.

The album is mixed by producer Jagz Kooner and mastered by British DJ Keith Tenniswood, and it marks the 12th studio album for the American alternative rock band. The lead single, ‘Danzig with Myself’, featuring Pixies’ frontman Frank Black, was released on Youtube recently. The single has an acid rock sound with a psychedelic lyrics video.

Black contributes a heavy dose of Pixies’ fuzzy falsetto, leaving ‘Danzig with Myself”s screeching guitar play off Taylor’s quintessential apathetic vocals. Although Black’s involvement is central in the new track, it was the result of pure chance according to Courtney Taylor-Taylor.

The album includes previously released single “Summer of Hate” and they’ve just shared “Danzig With Myself” which features Black Francis of Pixies. As to the song’s cheeky title, Taylor-Taylor says it was originally a placeholder but “over time, it became the working title that was just too good to replace.”

Taylor-Taylor says that the band has a very focused idea of what they want, but since nobody else makes it, they have to. The album has a specific sound, and there are not many heavy guitar records being released that they like, so that was the impetus for ROCKMAKER.

If you’re a fan of The Dandy Warhols, you can look forward to the upcoming LP, which features more of the ‘Danzig with Myself’ sound.
