Sexyy Red’s “Get It Sexyy” Download MP3 Free
St. Louis rapper Sexyy Red had a huge breakout year in 2023 and has remained in the conversation in 2024. Since she released her Hood Hottest Princess deluxe edition in December, Sexyy has had a pretend music-video baby with Drake, and made Questlove feel like he has to defend her inclusion on the Roots Picnic lineup. Now, Sexyy has released a new single called “Get It Sexyy,” which is a good one.
It is common for people to start hating on someone who sees mounds of success come their way. Sometimes the confusion is valid, especially when the means in which someone accrues popularity is questionable. Sexyy Red seems to fit that bill for most doubters, as her rap style and actions are shockingly palatable. However, if there is one thing we have come to learn about Sexyy Red, it’s that she keeps on chugging. The song “Get It Sexyy” proves that.
This is the Missouri femcee’s first solo offering since she remixed the viral deluxe cut from Hood Hottest Princess, “Bow Bow Bow (F My Baby Mama),” which featured Chief Keef. They have rekindled their chemistry on “DAMN SHORTY” from DIRTY NACHOS.
“Get It Sexyy” also sees another reunion, as Red and Tay Keith were back in the booth together for this one. Tay Keith’s loud and aggressive beats have been a natural fit with the ratchetness she brings since their first collaboration. While there isn’t anything new from this duo, the sexually confident energy in the song is likely to be a hit with the ladies. The haters may not like hearing her in 2024, but this is seemingly just the beginning for Sexyy Red.
Sexyy Red is also prominently featured on another new song that could easily blow up. West Palm Beach rapper Bossman Dlow has been blowing up in the past few months, scoring massive viral hits with his singles “Get In With Me” and “Mr Pot Scraper.” Today, Bossman Dlow releases his new mixtape Mr Beat The Road, and one of its tracks is a Sexyy Red duet called “Come Here.”
What are your thoughts on Sexyy Red and Tay Keith’s brand-new single, “Get It Sexyy”? Is this one of her strongest tracks as of late? Why or why not? What is your favorite element of the song and why? Where do you rank this Tay Keith collaboration amongst the rest? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Janae Nierah Wherry, also known by her stage name Sexyy Red, is an American rapper and singer born on April 15, 1998. She gained popularity after the release of her single “Pound Town” in 2023, which was produced by Tay Keith. A remix of the song, titled “Pound Town 2” with Nicki Minaj, became her first entry on the Billboard Hot 100. Her second mixtape, Hood Hottest Princess (2023), included both “Pound Town” and “SkeeYee,” another successful single.
Billboard recognized her as “one of the biggest breakout artists of summer 2023,” and she was nominated for “Best Breakthrough Hip Hop Artist” at the 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards. Her music has been described as confident, boisterous, and brazenly sexual.
Wherry was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. She began rapping after her boyfriend cheated on her, inspiring her to write a diss track. She graduated from Normandy High School in Missouri.
Red released her first song, “Ah Thousand Jugs,” in 2018, followed by her debut mixtape, Ghetto Superstar, in 2021. In June 2023, she released Hood Hottest Princess.
