Lauran Hibberd, the songwriter behind the debut album ‘GarageBand Superstar’, is all set to release her new album ‘Girlfriend Material’ on March 22nd.

She has announced that the album is “the 12 stage instruction manual on how to make the perfect girlfriend in under an hour. Listen more than once to ensure perfection”. Her latest single ‘Mary’ is out now, and is a unique self-analysis that features a catchy chorus and raw honesty.

According to Lauran, the process of making this album felt natural and personal. She believes it is her best work yet, and is confident that it will resonate with others.

She explains that the album is a reflection of her personal experiences, including the loss of a parent, a life-changing break-up, and exploring her true identity. Lauran has worked with some amazing people throughout the process, and hopes that it will inspire others.

Lauran Amaly Hibberd is a singer-songwriter from the Isle of Wight, England. She started playing the guitar at the age of 14 and has been writing two songs every week since then.

Her breakthrough track “Call Shotgun” was playlisted on BBC Radio 1 in August 2018, which led to her playing the BBC Introducing stage at the Glastonbury Music Festival in 2019. She has also toured with US bands Hippo Campus and The Regrettes, in addition to her own headline national tours. Hibberd’s music is often described as “slacker pop”.
