Jade Bird, a UK-born singer/songwriter based in Los Angeles, has announced her upcoming EP, “Burn The Hard Drive,” which will be released on April 10th by Glassnote Records. The EP, produced in collaboration with Alex Crossan, also known as Mura Masa, is a collection of songs that explore the different stages of grief that come with the end of a relationship.

The lead single from the EP, “You’ve Fallen In Love Again,” features Bird’s soft vocals over a winding bass line with ethereal synths that weave in and out. The song explores the fear of falling back into an unhealthy relationship, and the video, directed by Aries Moross, takes place in California’s Mojave desert.

Bird also recently released the title track of the EP, “Burn The Hard Drive,” which was written during one of her last writing sessions before the breakup. The song is a melancholy reflection that offers a digital solution of erasing all evidence of a relationship.

In addition to the EP, Bird has announced her ‘Open Up The Songbook’ Acoustic tour, where she will play old songs, new songs, and unheard demos. The tour will stop in several North American cities, including Austin, Nashville, Washington D.C., Toronto, and Los Angeles. Pre-sale tickets will be available on Thursday, March 7th, with regular tickets going on sale on March 8th.
