Pillow Queens‘ “Name Your Sorrow” Album Download ZIP MP3 Free Audio File
Ireland’s Pillow Queens released their new song ‘Leave The Light On’ in 2022, and now they’ve announced their upcoming LP titled ‘Name Your Sorrow’.
The album is scheduled to be released on April 19th by the Royal Mountain Records label. The first track from the album, ‘Gone’, has just been released. According to lead guitarist and vocalist Cathy McGuinness, the album is about the stages of love, loss, and grief, and how they can all exist alongside each other in a beautiful, messy, and intertwined way.
The themes of desire, queerness, insecurity, and personal growth will be explored throughout the album. The band has described ‘Gone’ as a song that delves into the emptiness of brief romantic encounters and the exaggeration that can become monotonous and make someone indifferent. The song showcases vulnerability and doesn’t allow any silver linings as it portrays the reality of how someone feels in the moment.

About Pillow Queens
Pillow Queens is an Irish indie rock band from Dublin. Their lyrics explore the intersection of religion and queerness. They released their debut album In Waiting in 2020 and their second album Leave the Light On in 2022. Their third album, Name Your Sorrow, is set to be released in April 2024. Pillow Queens signed to Sub Pop’s publishing arm in 2021 and released a re-recorded version of “Rats” from their Calm Girls EP.
