After the incredible success of his hit single “KEHLANI”, Belfast artist Jordan Adetunji has released a special remix featuring the track’s namesake, the multi-platinum-selling Oakland star Kehlani.
Since its release in May, “KEHLANI” has garnered over 83 million streams on Spotify, launching the alternative hip-hop artist, who was previously recognized as one of Hot Press’s ‘Hot For 2019 Irish Acts’, onto the global stage. The official music video for the track, directed by Dublin-based creative Ovie Etseyatse, has also achieved an additional 23.5 million views.
Jordan has recently signed with 300 Entertainment and Warner Records UK. In a recent interview with Billboard, he expressed his excitement about Kehlani’s verse on the remix, stating that “she killed it.” “I can’t wait for people to hear it and really vibe with it,” he added. Last month, Kehlani invited Jordan to perform the original track at her Crash album launch show.
About Artist:
Jordan Adetunji, born on 25th February 1999, is a British singer from Belfast, Northern Ireland. He gained recognition in 2024 with his breakout global hit, “Kehlani”. In 2023, Adetunji was scouted by Oli Sykes and signed to RCA Records. Following the rise in popularity of “Kehlani” in 2024, Adetunji signed with 300 Entertainment and Warner Records UK.
Adetunji started by posting rap videos on his Facebook account while at school before incorporating elements of the guitar into his performances. Around the age of 15 or 16, he also played the trumpet in school, which allowed him to experiment with new sounds.
He gained recognition by posting contemporary music on TikTok, which led to his being recruited by Bring Me the Horizon’s lead vocalist and primary lyricist, Oli Sykes. This ultimately resulted in him signing to RCA Records and Sony Music UK. After releasing several singles and building up some hype, Adetunji released his debut mixtape, Rock ‘N’ Rave, which was described as “Jersey club-inspired bounce, and sharp, glitchy sonics”.
