Sam Smith and Alicia Keys surprised their fans with a live performance at a New York bar, where they sang Smith’s hit song ‘I’m Not the Only One’ together. This performance was a preview of their updated recorded version of the song, which will be part of a 25-track musical package celebrating the 10th anniversary of Sam’s debut album ‘In the Lonely Hour.’

Sam expressed his honor and excitement for collaborating with Alicia Keys on the song in a recent Instagram post. The anniversary edition of the album will include remixes of some original songs, live recordings, and a new track called ‘Little Sailor.’

As part of the album release, Sam Smith will headline the BBC Proms on August 2, where they will perform the entire ‘In the Lonely Hour’ album accompanied by an orchestral arrangement. The BBC Radio 3 director reassured viewers that Smith’s performance would be appropriate for the setting, addressing concerns from past performances.

Samuel Frederick Smith, born on 19 May 1992, is an English singer and songwriter. In 2012, they gained fame after being featured on Disclosure’s hit single “Latch”, which reached number eleven on the UK Singles Chart. The next year, they were featured on Naughty Boy’s single “La La La”, which became a number-one hit in the UK.

Smith’s first studio album, “In the Lonely Hour” (2014), was released by Capitol Records UK and debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart. The album’s lead single, “Lay Me Down”, was released before “La La La”. The album’s second single, “Money on My Mind”, also topped the UK charts. The third single, “Stay with Me”, was a global success, reaching number one in the UK and number two on the US Billboard Hot 100. The subsequent singles “I’m Not the Only One” and “Like I Can” both reached the top ten in the UK. The album won four awards at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards, including Best Pop Vocal Album, Best New Artist, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year. It was also nominated for Album of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance.
