Ravyn Lenae is set to release her sophomore studio album, “Bird’s Eye,” on August 9 through Atlantic. The album features singles “Love Me Not” and “Love Is Blind,” both of which provide a glimpse of what to expect from the upcoming release.
Lenae worked on the album with executive producer Dahi and described “Bird’s Eye” as a return to self-trust and intuition, while acknowledging the journey that led her to this point. She expressed that revisiting the core aspects of her identity has allowed her to embrace and take pride in her direction.
In addition to her solo work, Lenae has been involved in notable collaborations, such as contributing “Video” to Kaytranada’s recent album, “Timeless.” Her latest single, “One Wish,” offers a soulful reflection on her relationship with her father and features a verse from Childish Gambino. The song’s video effectively balances the perspectives presented in the song, depicting how Lenae’s relationship with her father has influenced her life. Reflecting on the song, Lenae emphasized the importance of addressing built-up emotions through her music as a means of fostering understanding and reconnecting with her loved ones.

About Artist:
Ravyn Lenae Washington, born on January 22, 1999, is an American R&B singer-songwriter from Chicago. She is currently signed to Atlantic Records and the Three Twenty Three Music Group and is a member of the musical collective Zero Fatigue. Her debut EP, Moon Shoes, was independently released in 2015 and reissued by Atlantic Records in 2016. Her follow-up EP, Midnight Moonlight, was released in 2017. Lenae has performed at several music festivals and has toured with SZA on her Ctrl Tour and Noname on her Telefone Tour.
During her sophomore year in high school, Lenae spent $300 for a studio session that produced her first single, “Greetings.” In 2015, she was featured on Monte Booker’s song, “Baby.” Booker, Lenae, and rapper Smino formed the original core of the music collective Zero Fatigue, brought together by Chris “Classick” Innumerable at his recording studio, Classick Studios. Lenae’s first EP, Moon Shoes, was initially released as a free download in August 2015 and later reissued by Atlantic Records and the Three Twenty Three Music Group in 2016. Critics praised her “fluid vocals and spare, poetic lyrics.”
