Grammy Award-winning artist Muni Long has announced the release of her second album, ‘Revenge’, which will be out on July 26th. In 2022, Muni gained widespread recognition with the release of ‘Public Displays of Affection‘. The album featured the hit song ‘Hrs & Hrs’, which became her first Billboard Hot 100 hit. The song also received an Usher co-sign on an official remix and earned Muni a Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance. Last year, she released the emotive song ‘Made For Me’, and even collaborated with Mariah Carey for a remix.

Now, backed by critical acclaim and support from fellow artists, Muni Long has released a new single, ‘Ruined Me’. This song moves from themes of love to heartbreak, featuring strings and emotive vocals. “After you, I know that I’ll never love again. Baby, you ruined me,” Muni expresses on this track, showcasing her ability to capture and subtly modernize classic R&B heartbreak melodrama.

Regarding her forthcoming album, Muni shares, “The record reflects my personal journey, growth, and evolution as an artist. It’s more than just writing songs; it’s therapeutic for me to express my thoughts. I’ve been working towards this moment for 17 years, and I feel stronger than ever. I’m focused on healing and leaving a positive impact wherever I go. In my opinion, I’ve done a great job expressing my feelings through my music. It’s like one big diary entry.”

About Artist:

American singer-songwriter Muni Long, born Priscilla Renea Hamilton on September 14, 1988, is a native of Gifford, Florida. She signed with Capitol Records under her real name to release Jukebox (2009), her first studio album, which received favorable reviews but did not make it to the charts. The next ten years were spent co-writing hits for other musicians, such as Cheryl’s “Promise This,” Rihanna’s “California King Bed,” Fifth Harmony’s “Worth It,” Kelly Clarkson’s “Love So Soft,” Ariana Grande’s “Imagine,” Selena Gomez & the Scene’s “Who Says,” and Pitbull’s worldwide smash “Timber.”

Upon her return to the recording industry in 2018, Hamilton explored the Americana and country soul genres on her second studio album, Coloured, which was independently released in June of that year. She signed a record deal with Def Jam Recordings after becoming known as Muni Long. Her 2021 single “Hrs and Hrs” became her commercial breakthrough, peaking in the top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100. She released the song as the lead single from her third album, Public Displays of Affection: The Album (2022), which received a Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance. Similar to that, her 2023 song “Made for Me” achieved success and peaked in the top 20 of the list.
