Foster the People, an American indie pop band, will release their fourth studio album, “Paradise State of Mind” soon. It will be the band’s debut album released by Atlantic Records, and it is scheduled for release on August 16, 2024. The band has not recorded an album since “Sacred Hearts Club” in 2017, although they did release an EP and a few singles in that time. This album is their first studio album since then. The late 1970s musical genres of disco, funk, gospel, and jazz are all present on the album, which also incorporates aspects of jazz compositions and songwriting impacted by current societal events like the COVID-19 pandemic. Foster has expressed his interest in the music of the 1970s and how it contrasted with the social, political, and cultural shifts of the era, comparing it to the 2020s.
In comparison to their other albums, it is also less digitally produced and more of an analog record. On May 31, 2024, the disco-toned first single, “Lost in Space,” was made available. June 28, 2024, saw the release of the second single, “Take Me Back”. July 26, 2024 saw the release of the third single, “Chasing Low Vibrations”. This marks the group’s debut album without drummer Mark Pontius, who left the group in October 2021. In addition, guitarist Sean Cimino, who left the band three months before the album’s release, will appear on this one last time.

About Artist:
American indie pop group Foster the People was founded in 2009 in Los Angeles, California. Mark Foster, the band’s creator and leader, and Isom Innis, the keyboardist, are among its members.
After working as a commercial jingle composer and struggling musician for several years in Los Angeles, Foster started the band in 2009. Foster’s song “Pumped Up Kicks” went viral in 2010, landing the group a record deal with Startime International. They then used small club gigs and festival performances to build a fan following. “Pumped Up Kicks” became a crossover smash on commercial radio in the middle of 2011 after the band released their debut album Torches in May of the same year. It finally peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100.
