Ransom and Conway the Machine recently released a track called “Higher Killer” featuring Lloyd Banks and producer V Don. The single has gained over 76,000 streams since its release on August 30, drawing speculation about a potential collaboration project between the two artists. About a week later, the duo unveiled Chaos Is My Ladder 2, a follow-up to their previous project, Chaos Is My Ladder, which was released just before Christmas in 2022.
Chaos Is My Ladder 2 showcases the exceptional lyricism and uncompromising style of Ransom and Conway The Machine. Produced by V Don, the project presents a fusion of Ransom’s sharp wordplay, Conway The Machine‘s effortless flow and gritty storytelling. This sequel promises to be one of the most impactful underground projects of the year, with the only guest appearance being made by Lloyd Banks, who also featured on the lead single “Higher Killer” from the first Chaos Is My Ladder project.
Ransom expressed that when he and V Don recorded Chaos Is My Ladder, they had planned on creating a series of releases. However, it wasn’t until they started working on Chaos Is My Ladder 2 that they came up with the concept of featuring a guest collaborator for each volume in the series. Ransom also mentioned that Conway was their first and only choice for Chaos Is My Ladder 2, and they believe that fans will agree that it’s a rare opportunity to get a project from two of the top lyricists in the game.
