Miranda Leigh Lambert (born November 10, 1983) is an American country singer, songwriter, and guitarist. She began her career in early 2001 with the release of her self-titled debut album. In 2003, she placed third on the television show Nashville Star, which aired on the USA Network. She is also a member of the Pistol Annies, a group she formed in 2011 with Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley. Lambert has received numerous honors from the Grammy Awards, the Academy of Country Music Awards, and the Country Music Association Awards. In fact, she has received more Academy of Country Music Awards than any other artist in history and was named the “greatest country music artist of all time” by the Chicago Tribune in 2019.
Her second album, Kerosene (2005), was her major-label debut and was certified Platinum in the United States. It produced the singles “Me and Charlie Talking,” “Bring Me Down,” “Kerosene,” and “New Strings,” all of which reached the top 40 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Lambert’s third album, Revolution, released in September 2009, included songs like “The House That Built Me” and “Heart Like Mine,” both of which reached the top of the Hot Country Songs chart.
Fast forward to the present, Miranda Lambert has announced her upcoming tenth studio album, Postcards from Texas, scheduled for release on September 13, 2024. The lead singles from the album, “Wrangers” and “Dammit Randy,” were released on May 3, 2024, and June 28, 2024, respectively. The release date and album cover were revealed by Lambert via Twitter on July 24, 2024, and the tracklisting was announced through the Republic Records online store on the same day.
