Terry Sanchez Wallace Jr., born on March 23, 1994, is an American rapper known professionally as Tee Grizzley. He gained attention in 2017 with his song “First Day Out” after a two-year prison sentence, which went viral and peaked within the top 50 of the Billboard Hot 100. This success led him to sign with 300 Entertainment and release his debut mixtape “My Moment” in 2017, followed by the single “From the D to the A” featuring Lil Yachty, which received double platinum certification.

Tee Grizzley‘s upcoming project, “Post Traumatic,” is set to be released on October 4, 2024, featuring collaborations with artists such as J. Cole, Future, 42 Dugg, G Herbo, Hunxho, Fridayy, Tink, and Mariah The Scientist. This follows his 2023 project “Tee’s Coney Island,” which included features from Chris Brown, 21 Savage, MGK, Finesse2Tymes, Cordae, Skilla Baby, City Girls, and Mariah The Scientist.

On a personal note, Tee Grizzley tied the knot with the mother of his child, My’Eisha Agnew, in 2022 and celebrated their union with a beautiful ceremony. The couple shared their joy on Instagram, with Tee proposing in January 2022 and their son, born in 2021, also being part of the celebration.

About Artist:

Tee Grizzley, whose real name is Terry Sanchez Wallace Jr., was born on March 23, 1994, in Detroit, Michigan. He was raised by his grandmother in the Warrendale neighborhood due to his parents’ frequent incarceration. In middle school, he developed an interest in rap music and formed a musical group called All Stars Ball Hard with three friends. They uploaded their songs to YouTube. In 2011, Tee Grizzley‘s mother was sentenced to 20 years in prison for drug trafficking and was released in late 2020. His father was murdered in 2012.

Tee Grizzley was the first in his family to attend college, studying finance and accounting at Michigan State University. However, he faced financial difficulties and resorted to burglarizing other students’ dormitories with a friend, stealing $20,000 worth of electronics and money in February 2014. They were caught but released pending investigation.

Tee Grizzley fled to Kentucky after going on the run. On July 1, 2014, he was arrested following an attempted robbery at a jewelry store in Lexington, Kentucky. He was sentenced to nine months for the robbery and later received a sentence of 18 months to 15 years for the Michigan State robberies in September 2015. He was released from prison in Michigan on October 16, 2016.

During his time in prison, Tee Grizzley focused on his music and wrote his debut mixtape. Upon his release, he adopted the stage name Tee Grizzley and released his debut single “First Day Out” in November 2016. The music video gained over 2 million views in less than three weeks on YouTube. He later signed with 300 Entertainment & Atlantic Records in 2017 and released his subsequent singles.
