Lanez shared an inspirational story on Instagram about how Trina supported him early in his career. He revealed that he was struggling financially around a decade ago, sleeping in his ex-girlfriend’s car and on his manager’s couch. Trina recognized the potential in his song “Godfather”. Lanez expressed his gratitude for Trina’s belief in him, which helped him refine his music and image and rise to fame.
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of his mixtape, Lanez is re-releasing “Lost Cause” on October 1, and he hinted at more re-releases in the future, stating, “This will be the first of many classic mixtapes of mine that I will officially release on DSPs now that I am INDEPENDENT!!!”
