A$AP Rocky has recently released a new song featuring Jessica Pratt called “Highjack.” The track is produced by Greg Kurstin, Hitkidd, Jordan Patrick, and Zach Fogarty. It also includes background vocals from Creed B Good and Jon Batiste.

In an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, A$AP Rocky discussed collaborating with Pratt and Batiste. He mentioned, “I just love alternative, I love different sounds and whatnot. [Jessica Pratt] kind of gave me this kind of Portishead meets Stevie Nicks vibe a little bit. Right. So I always messed with her as an artist, and so I thought it was necessary to get her, Jon Batiste on this one and kind of make it feel soulful to bring it on home in the outro.”

Additionally, Jessica Pratt made a comeback earlier this year with her album “Here in the Pitch,” her first release since 2019’s “Quiet Signs.” Troye Sivan also sampled Pratt’s single “Back, Baby” in his song “Can’t Go Back, Baby.” Commenting on the sample, Pratt said, “‘Back, Baby’ was recorded to a cassette tape in a tiny bedroom 10 years ago, so it was really unexpected to get a request from him. Like everybody else, I find Troye to be irresistible.”

A$AP Rocky is preparing for the release of his much-awaited album “Don’t Be Dumb,” which is due out on August 30. “Highjack” is the latest addition to a series of recent tracks from Rocky, including “D.M.B.,” “Shittin’ Me,” “Same Problems?,” and “Riot (Rowdy Pipe’n).”
