Alex Lahey, an Australian singer-songwriter, has announced the release of a new deluxe album.
The album, which is an expanded edition of her latest album ‘The Answer is Always Yes’, will be released on the 6th of October, coinciding with her upcoming UK tour. In addition to the announcement, Alex also shared her latest single ‘Newsreader‘, which features Tamara Oudyn, an Australian news reporter, on backing vocals.
“I remember having the news on at home one night and watching the newsreader broadcast one awful story after another and it got me thinking about the emotional toll it must take on someone to literally be the bearer of bad news to an entire population night after night, day after day,” Lahey says.
Alexandra Lahey is an Australian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist known for her alternative rock music. She released her debut album, “I Love You Like a Brother” on October 6, 2017. The album peaked at number 15 on the ARIA Albums Chart. In 2019, she released her second album, “The Best of Luck Club”, which peaked at number 30 on the same chart.
