Armand Hammer will release their new project on Friday, featuring a track produced by El-P where they explore the idea that “The Gods Must Be Crazy”.
Armand Hammer, a New York rap duo comprised of Billy Woods and E L U C I D, has released another lead single from their upcoming project, We Buy Diabetic Test Strips, which is set to be released on Friday, September 29th. Over the past month, two other tracks from their seventh LP have been released.
The first track, “Woke Up and Asked Siri How I’m Gonna Die,” had a dystopian feel due to the unique production style of JPEGMAFIA. The second track, “Trauma Mic,” featured production from DJ Haram and a guest appearance from Pink Siifu, a rapper and singer from Birmingham, Alabama. The album is projected to contain 12 other new tracks.
Armand Hammer’s music is experimental, dynamic, and lyrical, and the group is back for one more release as part of the album’s rollout. According to Pitchfork, this latest cut features El-P of the legendary duo Run The Jewels. Although he does not rap on the track, he provides a tremendous instrumental. As always, the spitting from billy and E L U C I D is top-notch. This newest effort looks to be another great release for rap in 2023.
