Ad Infinitum’s “Abyss” Album Download ZIP & MP3 Free Files
AD INFINITUM is a Swiss/German symphonic metal band. It was originally a solo project of Swiss singer Melissa Bonny but later expanded to include drummer Niklas Müller, bassist Jonas Asplind, and guitarist Adrian Theßenvitz. The band signed a deal with Napalm Records in July 2019 and released their debut album, Chapter I: Monarchy, in April 2020. In December 2020, Asplind announced he was leaving the band due to health issues and was replaced by Korbinian Benedict as the new bassist.
Ad Infinitum started as a solo project of Melissa Bonny, the vocalist of Rage of Light. In November 2018, she released a debut single, “I Am the Storm,” recorded with guest musicians including former Delain guitarist Timo Somers. She also launched a crowdfunding campaign to finance the production of an upcoming album, which was successful. By 2019, the project expanded to include drummer Niklas Müller and guitarist Adrian Theßenvitz from Germany, and Follow the Cipher bassist Jonas Asplind from Sweden. The band then signed to Napalm Records.
AD INFINITUM has announced a new album titled Abyss. The upcoming album is the follow-up to last year’s Chapter III: Downfall and is scheduled to be released in October this year via Napalm Records.
Regarding the upcoming album, the band shares, “Welcome to a new page of the AD INFINITUM story, where a new era begins. A journey connecting three albums, starting in the ominous darkness of Abyss, out on October 11th. The journey will continue through the hope and empowerment found at the Surface and end in the freeing and energizing dreamscapes of Elysium. We are extremely impatient to present this new record, as well as not only the beautiful artworks and videos depicting its universe but also the captivating visual storyline connecting each video to the next. This is our most elaborate, intimate, and unapologetic work yet!”
Alongside the announcement of the new album, the band has released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming album, “My Halo.” The new song is the second single to be released from the upcoming album, following on from “Outer Space,” which was released back in April.
Speaking about the new song, the band stated,
“our brand-new single, My Halo, is out, and with it, the announcement of not only our upcoming album, Abyss, but also our next album trilogy. This is our most elaborate, intimate and unapologetic work yet with the AD INFINITUM signature sound, playing with new sounds and swimming in darker waters.”
