Big Sean has made a comeback with his first album since 2020, “Better Me Than You,” released on Friday (Aug. 30). The Detroit native’s sixth studio album includes 21 tracks and features collaborations with Gunna, Charlie Wilson, Kodak Black, Bryson Tiller, DJ Premier, Cash Cobain, Teyana Taylor, Larry June, Eryn Allen Kane, and more. The album even includes a cameo from WWE superstar-turned-actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
In a track that also samples 2Pac’s “I Ain’t Mad at Cha,” Big Sean added some comedic relief by sampling Ray J’s iconic call into The Breakfast Club, during a feud with Fabolous in 2011.

In 2024, Big Sean released several singles including “Together Forever” and “On Up,” “Yes,” “Ya Don’t Stop,” and “Precision.” He also featured on Eminem’s single “Tobey” from The Death of Slim Shady album, alongside BabyTron.
Big Sean has achieved three consecutive No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200, with his most recent success in 2020 with “Detroit 2.” The release of “Better Me Than You” was initially planned for Aug. 9 but was delayed to the end of the month due to a leak.
