COIN will release their new album, “I’m Not Afraid of Music Anymore,” on September 13th via 10k projects. The cover art features “The Kiss” sculpture by Romanian Modernist sculptor Constantin Brâncuși.
“The Kiss” artwork showcases embracing figures that merge into a single form, embodying togetherness and intimacy inherent in the act of kissing. The album is described as bright and bittersweet, electric and intimate, appealing to both old and new fans.
Chase Lawrence explained, “We wanted to make an album where we say what we mean, mean what we say, and distill COIN to its simplest, rawest, most authentic form. We led with the truth.”
The album was tracked live in RCA Studio A, a new approach for the band. Lawrence added, “This is about us seeing each other for who we really are and expressing ourselves as individuals— truly for the first time in this band’s history. It’s about us conquering fear.”
“I’m Not Afraid Of Music Anymore” is COIN‘s fifth studio album, and was announced on June 20th, 2024 via the band’s Instagram page, along with vinyl and CD pre-orders. The first single from the album, “Strawberry Jam,” was released on June 7th, 2024.
