Coldplay is a British rock band formed in London in 1997, featuring vocalist Chris Martin, guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman, drummer Will Champion, and manager Phil Harvey. The group originally met at University College London and started with different names like “Big Fat Noises” and “Starfish” before choosing “Coldplay.” Their early work, like the 1998 EP “Safety”, led them to sign with Parlophone in 1999, setting the stage for their breakout debut album, “Parachutes” (2000). The album included hits like “Yellow” and won them a Brit Award and a Grammy for Best Alternative Music Album.

The band gained even more acclaim with “A Rush of Blood to the Head” (2002), which won multiple awards and solidified their status. Their third album, “X&Y” (2005), completed a trilogy of success and was nominated for Best Rock Album at the Grammys. With “Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends” (2008), Coldplay became the first British act in the 21st century to have a song simultaneously top the Billboard Hot 100 and UK Singles Chart.

Fast forward to 2024, Coldplay announced their latest project, “Moon Music”, following up their 2021 album, “Music of the Spheres”. This album explores cosmic themes and features collaborations with diverse artists such as Burna Boy, Little Simz, and Ayra Starr, bringing fresh energy to their iconic sound.

The band announced the lead single “Feels Like I’m Falling in Love” on June 13, 2024, through social media and revealed the album’s tracklist in August. They also headlined the Glastonbury Festival for a record-breaking fifth time, previewing some of the new songs live. The second single, “We Pray,” features Little Simz, Burna Boy, and other artists, while another track, “Good Feelings,” was performed live with Ayra Starr during their world tour stop in Rome.
