About Artist:

Thomas Alexander Walker, born on 17 December 1991, is a Scottish singer-songwriter. He gained fame after the release of his single “Leave a Light On”, which reached number 7 on the UK Singles Chart in June 2018.

Walker was born in Kilsyth, Scotland, but moved with his family to Chelford, Cheshire, at the age of three. Despite this, he considers his upbringing to be ‘Glaswegian’ due to his Scottish parents. He speaks with a Scottish accent when with family or in Scotland. His musical influences growing up included Ray Charles, Muddy Waters, and Paolo Nutini. Prior to his rise to fame, Walker graduated from the London College of Creative Media in 2014.

In November 2019, Walker announced that he had started working on his second studio album. Subsequently, in early 2020, his album “What a Time to Be Alive” achieved platinum certification from the British Phonographic Industry for selling over 300,000 units in the UK.

In December 2021, as part of “Royal Carols: Together at Christmas,” Tom Walker performed “For Those Who Can’t Be Here” with Catherine, Princess of Wales (at the time styled the Duchess of Cambridge) playing the piano.

Furthermore, Walker released his single “Head Underwater” on 2 February 2024, which reached number 95 on the UK Singles Chart on 15 April 2024.
