Bleachers, Modern Girl Download MP3

Bleachers has not been very busy lately, but the band’s frontman, Jack Antonoff, is constantly making headlines.

Having become the favorite collaborator of many of the world’s most famous and successful pop stars, it’s not surprising. Bleachers released its latest album, “Take The Sadness Out Of Saturday Night,” in 2021. Since then, Antonoff has remixed Taylor Swift’s mega-hit “Anti-Hero” and appeared on Lana Del Rey’s latest album. Last month, Antonoff got married to Margert Qualley, and Bleachers signed with Dirty Hit. Now, they have a new single.

Unfortunately, the new Bleachers song “Modern Girl” is not a cover of Sleater-Kinney. Instead, it’s a stomping ’80s-style rave-up with prominent saxophone and at least one lyric about OnlyFans. Antonoff and the rest of the band deliver all the lyrics in rapid-fire gang-chant unison, which seems like a way to make it come off more as a full-band effort, less as a solo project.

“Modern Girl” will be featured in the final season of the Netflix show “Sex Education,” which will be released tomorrow. In director Alex Lockett’s video, the band appears to have a good time rocking out in a basement with a checkerboard-tile floor.

Bleachers is an American rock band hailing from New Jersey. It is also the official stage name of Jack Antonoff, the band’s songwriter and record producer. Bleachers’ music is heavily influenced by the rock sounds of the late ’80s and early ’90s, as well as the high school-based films of John Hughes. Despite these influences, Bleachers still incorporates modern production techniques into their music.

  • Friday night, killer queens
  • Hop a train, on the scene
  • All the band, is in the wild
  • Don’t you dare touch the dial
