Blink-182’s “DANCE WITH ME” Leak MP3 Download

“Dance with Me” is a song by American rock band Blink-182, which was released on October 5, 2023, through Columbia Records as the fourth single from their ninth album “One More Time“.

The songwriters include bassist Mark Hoppus, guitarist Tom DeLonge, and drummer Travis Barker, along with engineer Aaron Rubin and songwriter Nick Long.

The song begins with a spoken-word joke by DeLonge, “When I teach masturbation, I’m always just like, ‘Have fun with it.'” Throughout the song, DeLonge encourages a partner to dance with lyrics such as “I’ve been waiting around to lose / So dumb, trying to make believe / You’re mine, what are you gonna do / Come here, do you want to come dance with me?” The song’s title shares a name with another song by T.S.O.L., one of DeLonge’s preferred groups, according to Spin columnists.

The music video for the song pays tribute to the Ramones, a major influence on Blink-182. The band members dress up in the style of the Ramones, complete with wigs, sunglasses, and leather jackets. The video is a “love letter” to the Ramones, and begins with an interview featuring Lisa Gilroy as the host, spoofing the Ramones’ 1981 interview on The Tomorrow Show.

As the song begins, the video switches to the three band members seated at a table, a reference to the 1978 “I Wanna Be Sedated” visual.  Doctors, nurses, clowns, cheerleaders, construction workers, and other people run around in the footage, which is intercut with shots of the band playing at a CBGB-style backdrop. The band also poses in front of a brick wall, similar to the Ramones’ famous debut album cover.

The Malloys directed the video, with whom the band last collaborated on the 2001 videos for “The Rock Show” and “First Date”.
