City Girls recently made headlines when they announced their new album, RAW, an acronym for ‘Real A*s Wh*res.’
This is their first new project since their 2020 album City on Lock, which wasn’t successful commercially.
The album includes 18 tracks and features collaborations with Lil Durk, Muni Long, Juicy J, and Kim Petras. The album was released on Friday, October 20, one day after the release of their collaboration with Kim Petras called “Flashy.”
RAW is a follow-up to City Girls’ 2020 album City on Lock, which reached No. 29 on the Billboard 200 chart and included hit singles such as “P—y Talk” and “Jobs.” Since then, the rap duo has released several singles, including “Twerkulator” and “Act Bad” (with Diddy and Fabolous).
Yung Miami and JT have also released their solo singles, with Yung Miami making her solo debut in 2021 with “Rap Freaks” and JT releasing her debut sole single “No Bars” this year.
City Girls performed “No Bars” and “Face Down” at the 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards, where they were nominated for best duo or group. Yung Miami’s “Caresha Please” won best hip hop platform.
In a recent interview with Billboard at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards, Yung Miami revealed that she has a new reality show in the works.
