Coco & Clair Clair are set to release their new album ‘Girl’ on August 30th. The Atlanta duo has teased the album with their latest single ‘Kate Spade’, combining elements of cloud rap with R&B. The track features a catchy production and playful lyrics.
The duo has also announced a 21-date North American tour, beginning on October 1st in Montreal and including stops in Toronto, Chicago, Seattle, New York, and more. The tour will culminate with a hometown show in Atlanta on November 9th at Buckhead Theatre.
Describing the new single, Coco and Clair mentioned that “‘Kate Spade’ was one of the first songs we finished for the album after a night out in Amsterdam. It’s a little naughty and a little catty, but overall it’s meant to be uplifting. Big up yourself vibes because there’s always gonna be someone out there who wants what you have.”
‘Girl’ is said to be a reflective and experimental project, embracing a distinct feminine energy while exploring versatile lyricism. The album is a departure from their earlier work, featuring elevated sonics and visuals. The artists drew inspiration from acts like Saint Etienne, Brandy, Everything but the Girl, and Madonna.
Reflecting on the creative process, they shared, “We entered this new phase as closer friends and collaborators – more in tune with each other and ourselves, with newfound access to parts of our creative psyches that we hadn’t yet brought into Coco & Clair Clair. We worried less but cared more, which felt powerfully feminine.”

About Artist:
Taylor Nave and Claire Toothill formed the American pop-rap duet Coco & Clair Clair in late 2013, based in the Atlanta suburbs. Posh, their debut album, was made available in May 2017.
Both Claire Toothill and Taylor Nave were reared in the suburbs outside of Atlanta, Georgia, and they first connected on Twitter in late 2013. After releasing a song on SoundCloud, they decided to collaborate professionally.
They published P.O.S.H., their debut project, in 2017. Toothill relocated to New York City shortly after, but the pair kept up their musical endeavors. They released the singles “Crushcrushcrush” and “Pretty” in the same year. “Pretty” went on to become popular on TikTok.
They made an appearance with Clairo on Deaton Chris Anthony’s song “Racecar” in September 2019, which also had a music video published. The COVID-19 outbreak forced Toothill to return to Atlanta, and Nave’s college degree allowed him to concentrate on music full-time. Treat Like Gold, their second EP, was released in April 2020. The song “Wishy Washy” has a music video that was released in September 2020. The song was included in Atlanta’s fifth episode of the fourth season in October of 2022.
