CRYPTA, Shades of Sorrow Album Download MP3 ZIP Files
I recently discovered a band called Crypta that I’m really into. They have a classic death metal sound that reminds me of the genre’s golden age in the late ’80s, but with a modern twist that shows they’re not just living in the past. It’s clear that Crypta has a deep respect for the roots of death metal, mixed with a fresh approach that makes them stand out in today’s metal scene.
What’s even more impressive is that this Brazilian-based band has only released two albums so far, but their latest one, Shades of Sorrow, is a real standout. The production quality is top-notch, and the songwriting is stellar. Although it’s similar in style to their debut album from a few years ago, Shades of Sorrow shows a lot of growth and maturity.
One of the standout tracks on the album is “Lord of Ruins.” It’s got everything you want in a death metal song – heavy guitars, catchy melodies, and a killer vocal performance by Lira. The music video for the song is also really well done. Overall, I think Crypta is one of the most exciting bands in metal right now, and Shades of Sorrow is a great example of why.
In 2019, Crypta was formed as a death metal band based in Brazil. The band comprises Fernanda Lira as the bassist and vocalist, Luana Dametto as the drummer, and Tainá Bergamaschi and Jéssica di Falchi as guitarists.
Crypta is gaining popularity as one of the most beloved bands in the death metal genre. Listening to them takes me back to my younger days. I appreciate the strong songwriting and the homage they pay to their predecessors through their sonics. Additionally, I must give credit to Daniel Bergstrand for expertly mixing this record. After listening to it on various platforms, I believe it might be the best mixed record of the year.
