DaBaby has released two new tracks: “Can’t Keep Keisha” and “Did It.” The rapper debuted the new music on Sept. 20 after teasing the tracks on Instagram.
Both songs will be featured on DaBaby’s upcoming 14-track mixtape, “How TF IS THIS A MIXTAPE,” which is set to be released on Sept. 27. The music is now available for preorder, and the tracklist is expected to be revealed on Sept. 23.
Earlier this year, DaBaby shared that a fellow rapper proposed to him to create a fake feud to capitalize on the popularity of drama in the rap world at the time when Kendrick Lamar and Drake were exchanging diss tracks.
DaBaby explained that during an interview on Shaq and Adam Lefkoe’s The Big Podcast, he received a call from a “certain rapper” with an unusual offer after J. Cole apologized to Kendrick for releasing a diss track. The rapper suggested, “We should diss each other.”
DaBaby declined the offer, stating, “I’m not going to disrespect somebody that I have respect for… because of what might come with it from the public.” He also expressed understanding for J. Cole’s decision to retract his diss track against Kendrick.
In May, DaBaby released a freestyle over Kendrick’s “Not Like Us” beat titled “NOT LIKE US (FREESTYLE).”
The Tesla Cybertruck has sparked lively discussions due to its unique design and features. DaBaby‘s new album cover features him standing on top of a Cybertruck. According to a Tesla Newswire account, the album cover serves as free advertising for the electric vehicle maker, reaching approximately 4.3 million of the rapper’s followers.
A Tesla investor pointed out that DaBaby‘s new album cover with the Cybertruck could serve as valuable promotion for the EV maker, as the rapper has over 35 million monthly listeners and his most-viewed music video has 544 million views on YouTube. Elon Musk, Tesla’s CEO, responded to the post from the Tesla investor with two ‘fire’ emojis.
