Dasha, an emerging Nashville-based musician, has released her debut album titled “What Happens Now?”.
The album showcases her authentic songwriting, vulnerable delivery, and a distinct musical touch, blending her California roots with candid country music. It features a focus track called “Austin,” which went viral with her iconic line dance. The album is a perfect blend of the familiar with previous releases and four new songs, taking the listener on a journey through themes of heartbreak and longing, led by Dasha’s powerful artistry and witty lyricism.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the project, Dasha shares that the idea for “What Happens Now?” came from a single line in her notes, ‘What happens now that we’re older?’ She took the concept to Louis Castle in a session last summer and told him that she really wanted to write a huge banjo song, but that’s all she knew.
With her debut album, Dasha has established herself as a force to be reckoned with, earning impressive accolades for her seamless blend of catchy melodies and thoughtful lyricism.

About Dasha
Anna Dasha Novotny, professionally known as Dasha, is an American singer and songwriter born on February 27, 2000. She was raised in San Luis Obispo, California, and attended Belmont University until the COVID-19 pandemic began.
In 2021 and 2022, Dasha released a series of singles that would later appear on her debut album, “Dirty Blonde,” released in 2023. Dasha’s single “Austin,” which marks her first entry on the Billboard charts, was released later that year and she signed with Warner Records in March 2024.
Dasha’s second full-length album, “What Happens Now?” was released in February 2024. She also performed “Austin” live at the 2024 CMT Awards in Austin, Texas on April 7th, 2024.
