DPR IAN’s “Dear Insanity…” EP/Album Download Leak MP3 ZIP Files

DPR IAN released the Dear Insanity… album, which showcases his manic highs. The album’s title comes from the character “Mr. Insanity,” which was introduced in his previous album, Moodswings Into Order.

On July 30, 2023, DPR IAN teased the lead single of the EP titled “Peanut Butter & Tears,” which was released on August 4. In the music video, we see a young IAN traveling to The Other Side realm, where he loses his sanity and turns into his alter ego, Mr. Insanity.

In the follow-up single, “So I Danced,” released on September 15, Mr. Insanity runs a heist in The Other Side’s bank in the music video. After succeeding, he’s interrupted by MITO, another alter ego of IAN for his manic lows. Mr. Insanity manages to escape him, but MITO transforms The Other Side into his image.

Christian Yu, also known as DPR Ian, is an Australian singer, rapper, and director in South Korea. He was a former Yedang Entertainment boy group C-Clown member, active between 2012 and 2015. You made his solo debut under his co-founded label Dream Perfect Regime (DPR) with the single “So Beautiful” on October 26, 2020. His first studio album, Moodswings Into Order, was released on July 29, 2022. In 2022, he was the 10th most streamed K-pop Male Solo Artist Globally on Spotify.

DPR Ian was born in Sydney, Australia, on September 6, 1990, and was raised by his mother after his parents separated when he was young. Yu attended Wollongong High School of the Performing Arts and played in a heavy metal band, where he was influenced by the musicals and circuses he attended as a child. He started uploading videos to his YouTube channel named B-Boy B. Yu 2008.

After graduating high school, Yu studied science and art at the University of Sydney for one year before dropping out. He then moved to South Korea to pursue dancing, initially not intending to become a K-pop idol. However, he was street cast by an entertainment agency, and despite being unable to sing, he was impressed with his dancing abilities.

As the K-pop group C-Clown leader under the stage name Rome, Yu debuted in 2012. The 6-member boy group was the first idol group created by entertainment agency Yedang Entertainment, later renamed Banana Culture Entertainment. After the group disbanded in October 2015, Yu co-founded Dream Perfect Regime with Live, Cream, and REM, all of whom attach the label’s acronym-DPR-to their names. In 2021, he released his debut extended play, Moodswings in This Order, followed by his first studio album, Moodswings Into Order, in 2022.

Yu is behind the visual arts for the DPR crew and directs all DPR music videos, such as Live’s “Jasmine,” “Legacy,” and “Yellow Cab,” along with his songs, like “So Beautiful,” “No Blueberries,” and “Ballroom Extravaganza.” He has also directed and edited music videos for artists outside of DPR, including Bobby’s “HOLUP,” Mino’s “Body,” and Taeyang’s “Wake Me Up.”

In 2021, DPR Ian and Live released the track “Diamonds + and Pearls” as part of the soundtrack to the Marvel Film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. This marked the duo and other artists on the album as the first Korean artists to participate in a Marvel soundtrack album.

DPR Ian was diagnosed with bipolar disorder as a teenager. He created an alter ego named Mito to reflect his mental illness. In an interview with Billboard, he sai,, ““I wanted to portray a character dealing with various mental disorders which may be deemed negative or dark in a realistic sense but at the same time can also be seen as superpowers in a different light.”
