Earl Sweatshirt & The Alchemist‘s “Voir Dire” Album Download Leak MP3 ZIP Files

Young rap legend Earl Sweatshirt has been playing star-studded shows recently to celebrate the 10th anniversary of his album Doris.

He has also been teasing the release of his new album, Voir Dire, with longtime collaborator the Alchemist. The album has now been released, but it’s not yet available on streaming services. Instead, Voir Dire is only available on a streaming platform called Gala Music, which is NFT-backed.

The Alchemist tweeted on May 22, 2021, that he and Earl had hidden a whole album on YouTube under a fake name and page, complete with a fake album cover and song titles. Nobody found it until August 2023, when fans discovered a link on Earl’s website that leads to the Gala Music website. The page updates every day with a new puzzle that, when solved, reveals a new hint about the album.

The first puzzle asked “When did Al[chemist] start snitching?” and allowed users to select a specific date. Upon entering the date the aforementioned tweet was published (05/22/2021), the first clue, consisting of another Alchemist tweet, was revealed. This tweet read “Speak the Truth”, the English translation of the phrase “Voir Dire“.

On August 22, the Alchemist posted a picture on Instagram containing the album’s track list. The feature listing next to the track “Sentry” was blurred on the post. On August 24, it was revealed that this feature is New York-based rapper Mike, after a music video for “Sentry” was released on the Gala Music website. A flyer for a listening party to take place in London on August 25 was posted to The Alchemist’s Instagram on August 23.

On August 25, Voir Dire was released for free on the Gala Music website along with 11 NFTs, one for each of the tracks. An NFT-backed streaming platform is a streaming service that uses non-fungible tokens, which are unique digital assets that can be bought, sold, and traded like physical assets.

On September 15, it was announced that Voir Dire would be released on streaming platforms on October 6, featuring a slightly altered tracklist that includes two songs with fellow collaborator Vince Staples.

The album is “a digital collectible,” according to a press release. Mount Westmore previously used the blockchain-based Gala Music to release music last year. To stream Voir Dire, you need to sign up for a Gala Music account. Only one guest appears on the album, and it’s Earl’s recent collaborator MIKE. He features on “Sentry,” which appears to be the lead single from the LP.

Earl and MIKE appear in the “Sentry” video, the only track you can access without signing up for Gala Music. Voir Dire follows Earl’s 2022 album SICK! and the Alchemist’s recent Flying High EP, which featured Earl and billy woods on the opening track “RIP Tracy.” This is Alchemist’s second collaborative album this year; the first was The Great Escape, with Larry June. Below, you can check out the “Sentry” video and the Voir Dire tracklist.
