The fifth studio album by American metal band Falling In Reverse is called Popular Monster and was released on August 16, 2024. Before the album, the project was introduced in January 2022 as a 5-song compilation EP called Neon Zombie. The lead single of the project was “ZOMBIFIED,” which gained popularity quickly, becoming one of the band’s most popular songs. Following this, the second single, “Voices in My Head,” was released on May 27 of the same year.
After this release, the band did not release any more songs until January 2023, when they released “Watch the World Burn,” a single that allowed the band to enter the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the first time. Due to the delay between each single, there were rumors that the project had been cancelled.
However, on May 7, 2024, the last single, “Ronald,” was released in collaboration with rapper Tech N9ne and Alex Terrible, the vocalist of the band Slaughter To Prevail. With this single, the band announced that they were changing from an EP to a full-length album and changing the name to Popular Monster, which is the name of one of the band’s greatest hits. Initially, this song was not going to be included in the album, but it ended up being the lead single of the project.
