Julio Foolio’s posthumous album, Demi God, dropped recently, and one of the standout tracks is “Runnin,” the third song on the project. This track gives us a raw glimpse into Foolio’s mindset—he talks about his struggles, the street life, and how he was always on the move, whether from danger or chasing success.

The beat hits hard, with a haunting melody that mirrors the intensity of Foolio‘s lyrics. In “Runnin,” you can feel his determination to survive in a world filled with challenges, while also sensing the pain he carried. Fans of Foolio will appreciate how the track stays true to his signature style, blending honest storytelling with the kind of energy that made his music so powerful.

Charles Andrew Jones II, known professionally as Julio Foolio, was an American rapper from Jacksonville, Florida. He was associated with the city’s rap scene and was involved in high-profile feuds with other rappers. Jones was also linked to local gang activity, with his music often addressing these affiliations. On June 23, 2024, Jones was fatally shot in a hotel parking lot in Tampa, Florida.

His first posthumous project, “DEMI GOD,” was released five months after his April 2024 album, “Ressurection.”

Foolio was tragically murdered during a shootout in Tampa, Florida, just two days after his birthday. Following his murder, his mother announced on his Instagram page that a new album would be released. She and his management then began publicly teasing the upcoming album. On August 30, 2024, Foolio’s mother revealed on his Instagram page that “DEMI GOD” would be released on September 23rd, 2024, exactly 3 months after his untimely death.

Julio Foolio‘s team shared a clip of the late rapper in which he claims that he can “never die.” In an interview earlier this year, he said: “I ain’t going nowhere. I’m a demigod. You can’t get me.” Shortly after the murder, Julio Foolio’s mother Sandrikas revealed that she is making a documentary about her son.

“RIP Son … Charles Jones II ‘Foolio’. The ‘Real’ Life Story Documentary Coming Soon,” she wrote on Instagram. “The story that only I can tell because I know the Truths from the Fakes, I think I’m the ‘ONLY’ mother that keeps it real while MOST others know damn well what was going on with their OWN sons. This has been going on since 2014-2015.”
