Jaz Karis’ “SAFE FLIGHT” Album Download ZIP & MP3 Free Files
British R&B artist Jaz Karis is set to release her debut album ‘SAFE FLIGHT’ on September 20th through MNRK Music Group. The album’s title is inspired by Karis’s experiences traveling the world and represents her most comprehensive and expansive work to date. ‘SAFE FLIGHT’ takes listeners on a transatlantic late-summer journey, chronicling her time recording most of the album in Los Angeles, shooting music videos in Barbados, attending parties in Ghana, and returning home to London.
Karis introduced her new musical direction with ‘SUNSET BLVD’, following her previous singles ‘TEQUILA’ featuring Reekado Banks, and ‘MET YOU AT A BAR’ featuring Tone Stith.
Regarding the album, Karis expressed, “I am incredibly proud and excited to announce my debut album ‘SAFE FLIGHT’. The concept for this album came to me while I was working in LA. Over the past year, I have traveled extensively between London and Los Angeles, and I hadn’t realized how much my life was changing right before my eyes. The title ‘SAFE FLIGHT’ felt appropriate due to the frequency with which I had heard it over the past year. It also felt like I was embarking on a new journey, which is exactly what this album has been for me. The majority of this album was created in Los Angeles, with a few songs made in other places such as New York City, Atlanta, and Texas. Only one song was created at home in London, marking the start of a new chapter in my life with this body of work. I wanted the featured artists to reflect my travels, and I feel fortunate to have had so many talented artists from around the world collaborate with me on this project. The music also delves into different realms, but I like to think that soul runs through every song, giving them a cohesive feel. From me to anyone listening, I hope you have a safe flight.”
For almost a decade, Karis has developed an intuitive brand of soul and R&B. Her 2022 project, ‘Dear Jaz’, marked a turning point, blending breezy Afrobeats with her introspective lyrical style. Karis discussed her creative reboot at length in our Decoded series.
