Kali Uchis‘ “Te Mata” Download MP3
Kali Uchis has previewed her upcoming Spanish album “Orquideas” with a new single titled “Te Mata.”
The song, produced by Josh Crocker and Manuel Lara, is about Uchis’ journey of healing from a broken heart. The single is part of her upcoming album, set to release in early January 2024.
Kali Uchis released her latest album earlier this year, just before her iconic Coachella performance. Although she isn’t planning on releasing another album this year, she has promised her fans a Spanish album, Orquideas, featuring 14 tracks, including “Te Mata” and “Munekita” featuring el Alfa and JT.
In “Te Mata,” Uchis sings about how she transformed her pain into happiness after a brutal heartbreak. The song’s lyrics, translated from Spanish by Uproxx, express the singer’s realization that she deserves much more and is finally happy.
Orquideas will be Kali Uchis’ fourth studio album, following her debut album “Por Vida” in 2015. Over the years, she has collaborated with many artists, such as Tyler, The Creator, Jorja Smith, Steve Lacy, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Rico Nasty, and Don Toliver. Fans are eager to see who she’ll work with next.
