Katy Perry is set to release her new album, “143,” on September 20 through Capitol Records. This album will be her first studio release since “Smile” in August 2020. Perry described her new album as a bold, celebratory dance-pop album with the symbolic message of love represented by 143.
The lead single from “143,” titled “Woman’s World,” was co-written by Perry, songwriter Chloe Angelides, and produced by Lukasz “Dr. Luke” Gottwald, Vaughn Oliver, Rocco Did It Again!, and Aaron Joseph. The song is accompanied by a music video directed by Charlotte Rutherford.
“143” marks Katy Perry‘s sixth studio album and seventh overall. Perry officially announced the album’s title, cover art, and release date on her social media on July 10, 2024, a day before the release of the lead single. The cover art features Katy standing in a heart-shaped swirling vortex, and the album release date was also announced on the same day.

About Artist:
Katy Perry, whose real name is Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson, was born on October 25, 1984. She is an American singer, songwriter, and TV personality known for her fun style. Katy has sold over 143 million music units worldwide, making her one of the best-selling artists ever. Magazines like Vogue and Rolling Stone often refer to her as the “Queen of Camp” because of her unique style and catchy tunes. Billboard even ranked her as the fourth greatest pop artist of all time.
Katy began her music career at a young age. At 16, she released a gospel album called “Katy Hudson” in 2001, but it didn’t gain much attention. She then moved to Los Angeles at 17 to pursue pop music, adopting the stage name “Katy Perry,” using her mother’s maiden name. After facing some challenges, she signed with Capitol Records and rose to fame with her 2008 album “One of the Boys,” featuring the hit single “I Kissed a Girl,” which topped the charts, along with “Hot n Cold.”
Her next album, “Teenage Dream,” released in 2010, was a huge success. It produced five number-one singles in the U.S.—”California Gurls,” “Teenage Dream,” “Firework,” “E.T.,” and “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)”—making her the only female artist to achieve this. In 2012, she re-released the album “Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection,” which included another chart-topper, “Part of Me.” Katy Perry has certainly made a significant impact on the pop music scene!
