Kevin Abstract‘s “Blanket” Album Download Leak MP3 ZIP Files
Brockhampton founder Kevin Abstract has announced his third studio album titled “Blanket,” which is set to release on November 3rd via Video Store/RCA Records. This marks his first solo LP since the group announced an indefinite hiatus early last year.
Abstract made the album with producer Romil Hemnani and multi-instrumentalist Jonah Abraham. In a press release, Abstract revealed that he was influenced by rock bands such as Sunny Day Real Estate, Nirvana, and Modest Mouse, and aimed to create a record that hits like a rap album.
The album features the title track “Blanket,” which was released last week with a self-directed video. Abstract has also shared a video teaser of a song from the album called “Gum.” Pre-orders for “Blanket” are ongoing, and the artwork for the album has been revealed.
Since his last album “Arizona Baby” in 2019, Abstract has released the singles “Slugger” and “Sierra Nights.” Other Brockhampton members have also been pursuing solo projects, with Merlyn Wood releasing an EP called “Dirty Thunder” and Dom McLennon sharing “Sweep” in September.
Brockhampton announced an indefinite hiatus last year after a Coachella performance and the release of the albums “The Family” and “TM.” While “The Family” featured contributions from Brockhampton members Bearface and Romil Hemnani, it was largely a Kevin Abstract solo album. “TM” was a more traditional Brockhampton album with substantive contributions from the group’s rappers, singers, and producers.
