Louisiana rapper Kevin Gates has been in the rap game for over a decade and is known for his gritty style, which has produced many under-the-radar classics with “God Slippers.”
He is most recognized for his “2 Phones” hit songs and “Really Really.” It was recently announced that a new project titled “Ceremony” is in the works, although no release date has yet been confirmed.
Gates has already released two projects earlier this year. The first, “THE LUCA BRASI STORY (A DECADE OF BRASI),” came out on February 1, and just over five months later, he released another project, “Stranger Than Fiction,” on July 15. To excite fans for the upcoming album, Gates released a new music video and the lead single, “God Slippers.”
In “God Slippers,” Gates raps about overcoming obstacles and grinding to the top. It is a triumphant return that fans are accustomed to hearing from him. Gates likes to keep things lowkey, so we will have to wait and see for more news on the album.
