Larry June is working on a new album. Following the release of several singles in 2024, June has announced that his upcoming studio album is on the way.
The release date for Larry June’s new album is approaching. After dropping a series of singles such as “Imported Couches,” “Like A Mack,” and “Meet Me In Napa,” Good Job Larry has revealed the title and release date for the album. ‘Doing It For Me’ is scheduled to be released on August 9 via Empire Distribution, featuring 15 tracks without any features.
‘Doing It For Me’ will be June’s first solo project since 2022’s ‘Spaceships On The Blade,’ and follows two collaborative projects released in 2023: ‘The Great Escape’ with The Alchemist and ‘The Night Shift’ with Cardo. Larry has also been working with The Alchemist on the latter’s ‘Flying High’ EP and recently completed a sold-out Market Run tour, expanding his influence in the rap industry.
The last time Uproxx interviewed Larry was in 2022 when he talked about his unique approach to non-traditional rap topics. “I show a different side of the city,” he said. “I’m from Hunter’s Point. I have a different perspective, and I definitely belong here.”
‘Doing It For Me’ will mark June’s eleventh solo studio release, coming about two years after his previous album, ‘Spaceships on the Blade.’ In addition to the album art and release date, June’s tracklist has also been revealed on the internet via NFR Podcast.
The tracklist shows that the album will consist of 15 tracks, including the recently released singles “Meet Me In Napa,” “Imported Couches,” “Dreams,” and “Like a Mack.” There are no listed featuring artists on the tracklist, and it’s unclear whether this is intentional or if the album is a fully solo effort from June.

Larry Eugene Hendricks III (born April 8, 1991) is an American rapper from San Francisco, California. He is best known for his albums “Orange Print,” “Spaceships on the Blade,” and “The Great Escape,” and has toured with musicians such as Cousin Stizz, Berner, Curren$y, and Post Malone. Hendricks has released 19 underground projects and is currently an independent artist, having previously been signed to Warner Records.
As a teenager, Hendricks used MySpace to collaborate with musicians like G-Eazy in 2006 and YouTube, where he listened to instrumentals from producers like Cardo in 2008. Years later, he collaborated with both musicians. Larry released “Cali Grown,” his first album, in 2010.
