About Artist:

2019 saw the rollout of Lil Poppa, a 30-year-old rapper from Jacksonville, Florida, with his full-length debut album Almost Normal. To more mixed reviews, he then released his sophomore album, Blessed, I Guess. After receiving additional positive feedback, Heavy is the Head & Half Man, Half Vamp was signed by Yo Gotti to his Interscope Records label Collective Music Group, marking Poppa’s fourth album as his formal major label debut.

In “Reintroduction,” he begins by reintroducing himself to the CMG fanbase in a melodic, drum-free manner, whereas in “Wee,” he takes a summery trap route while instrumentally revealing a more carefree side of himself. Just before the guitar-driven track “Nowhere Fast,” which features Baby Drill, admits to putting up with her garbage because he wants her, “Stop Grieving” cloudily talks about the reality that bitches will leave with you nothing in the end.
