Mariah The Scientist signed with Epic Records before releasing her third album, To Be Eaten Alive.
The Atlanta-based singer-songwriter has released a new single and music video titled “From A Woman” and the pre-order of her first studio album on the Epic Records label, which is set to be released on October 27.
Following the release of “From A Woman,” a video directed by Leff and featuring a cameo from Young Thug, Mariah The Scientist became the latest addition to the Epic Records roster, which includes the likes of Future, Travis Scott, 21 Savage, Giveon and more.
In a recent interview with Billboard, Mariah stated that she initially hesitated to sign any new deal but was excited to find a partner who understood her as an artist and had the necessary resources to support her. Epic Records, she believes, is that partner.
Mariah’s new single, “From A Woman,” follows the same trajectory as her previous love-drunk singles, “Always n Forever” featuring Lil Baby, and “Spread Thin,” with lyrics that speak to the joys of finally finding a convincing romance worth her time.
“From A Woman” will be featured on Mariah The Scientist’s third album, ‘To Be Eaten Alive,’ set to drop on October 27. “Scorpions, like myself, are considered non-social and solitary animals,” Mariah explained.
“Interacting only on rare occasions, such as courtship. The scorpion seems to be a small feat for the grand and notable lion. They are an unpredictable match, and yet establish mutual respect’s curious differences.”
