Bangerz produced her first U.S. #1 hit “Wrecking Ball” and earned her a Grammy nomination. The album also caused controversy, making Miley one of the most controversial young female singers since Britney Spears, especially after her twerk-tastic MTV VMA performance with Robin Thicke. Now, Miley is commemorating the album’s upcoming 10th anniversary by releasing a special vinyl edition.
The Bangerz two-LP set contains the original album, which includes “Wrecking Ball,” “We Can’t Stop,” and “Adore You,” never-before-seen photos, and a bonus track titled “23,” featuring Mike WiLL Made-It, Juicy J, and Wiz Khalifa. Ariana Grande, another chart-topping female singer, who used to appear on cable TV kids’ shows, seems to be teasing a similar release for her 2013 album. Ari’s debut album, Yours Truly, was released on August 30, 2013, and featured hits such as “The Way,” “Right There,” and “Baby I.”
Ariana posted a series of photos on Instagram, including two of her in a recording studio and one of a studio control board with the sheet music for three songs from Yours Truly: “Baby I,” “Tattooed Heart,” and “Daydreamin’.” She captioned the post, “almost ten….”
