Nailah Hunter‘s “Finding Mirrors” Download MP3 Leak
The Los Angeles-based musician, Nailah Hunter, has released two EPs titled Spells and Quietude, in addition to a few stray tracks.
She is now preparing to release her debut album, Lovegaze, via Fat Possum early next year. Today, she has released the album’s lead single, “Finding Mirrors.”
Hunter shared that the song began with a bass line, which is not her usual approach to writing music. Among all the tracks on the record, this one is the most significant departure from the comfort she found in making ambient music previously.
She stated that allowing the song to exist in the form it came to her was a healing reminder that she can create anything she desires. The song is about encountering oneself without any warning.
