Afrobeats veteran Tiwa Savage has made an exciting announcement regarding her upcoming collaboration with new artist Odumodublvck.

The 44-year-old single mother recently shared a snippet of her verse on their new song, which is titled “100 Million”. In the snippet, Tiwa Savage was rapping her verse, influenced by Odumodublvck’s style. Although some fans were surprised by her rap performance, she announced that the song will be released on Friday, March 15, 2024.

Odumodublvck has recently come into the Afrobeats limelight and has established himself as a rapper to be reckoned with. He has collaborated with prominent artists such as Skepta, Amaarae, and has an upcoming release with Illbliss.

Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, is a Nigerian rapper, singer, and songwriter, born on 19 October 1993. He’s known for his unique stage performances, genre-blend, and his frequent portrayal of Okpu Agu. Odumodublvck is a member of the hip-hop collective Anti World Gangstars and currently resides in Abuja, Nigeria. He’s rapidly becoming a rap sensation in the Afro music industry.

In 2022, he signed a record deal with NATIVE Records, in partnership with Def Jam. On 23 November 2022, he released his first single under NATIVE titled “Picanto” featuring Ecko Miles and Zlatan. The song earned him his first chart entry on the Nigeria Top 100 at number 79 and later peaked at number 65. On 23 January 2023, he ranked number 4 on TurnTable’s NXT Emerging Top Artistes. In 2023, Def Jam Recordings signed an exclusive deal with Odumodublvck upon the release of EZIOKWU mixtape.

Odumodublvck was born in Lagos but relocated with his family to Abuja at the age of 7. He attended Christ the King College at Gwagwalada Abuja for his junior high education, where he got the stage name “Odumodu” in his second year. He then attended Bowen University for his first-year tertiary education before finishing up at the University of Lagos, Akoka.

Tiwatope Omolara Savage, known professionally as Tiwa Savage, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and actress. She sings in English and Yoruba and her music is a blend of afrobeats, R&B, afropop, pop, and hip-hop. Tiwa Savage has made significant contributions to the Nigerian music industry, earning several achievements.

Born in Isale Eko, Tiwa Savage relocated to London at the age of 11 for her secondary education. Five years later, she began her music career by doing backup vocals for artists such as George Michael and Mary J. Blige. After participating in the UK edition of The X Factor and graduating from Berklee College of Music, Tiwa Savage signed a publishing deal with Sony/ATV Music Publishing in 2009. Inspired by the growth of the Nigerian music industry, she moved back to Nigeria and signed with Mavin Records in 2012. She made an appearance on the label’s 2012 compilation album Solar Plexus.

Tiwa Savage’s debut studio album Once Upon a Time was released on 3 July 2013, supported by seven singles. The album was nominated for Best Album of the Year at the 2014 Nigeria Entertainment Awards and for Best R&B/Pop Album at The Headies 2014. Her second studio album, titled R.E.D, was released on 19 December 2015, yielding two singles. In June 2016, Tiwa Savage signed a management and publishing deal with Roc Nation. In September 2017, she released her debut EP Sugarcane. R.E.D and Sugarcane have both been nominated for Best Album at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards.

In November 2018, Tiwa Savage became the first woman to win the Best African Act at the 2018 MTV Europe Music Awards. In May 2019, she announced her record deal with Universal Music Group and exit from Mavin Records. Her third studio album Celia, which was released in August 2020, was supported by several singles. Her second extended play Water & Garri, which blends Afrobeat with soulful R&B, was released on 20 August 2021. In March 2022, she announced the Water & Garri North American Tour in support of the EP. In July 2022, Tiwa Savage received an honorary degree from the University of Kent during a graduation ceremony at Canterbury Cathedral.
