UK singer-songwriter Paris Paloma draws on her experiences of womanhood, speaking to themes of female experience, grief, love, death, and power in her songwriting. Her evocative lyrics, inspired by mythology, art history, and the Romantics, range from tender and heartbreaking to aggressively powerful. Her ethereal sound combines influences from dark pop, folk, and indie genres, creating a mesmerizing discography with a primal and inherently feminine quality.
After spending years building a compelling catalogue, Paris Paloma has announced her plans for her debut studio album, titled ‘Cacophony’, set to be released later this year. The album will feature previously shared tracks such as ‘my mind (now)’, ‘drywall’, ‘as good a reason’, and ‘yeti’, as well as a revamped version of ‘labour’ titled ‘LABOUR (the cacophony)’. ‘Cacophony’ is scheduled to be released on August 30th via Nettwerk.
Speaking about the new release, Paris Paloma said, “This collection makes sense of the overwhelming space of my mind where my anxiety, OCD, and trauma processing lives. I embrace the feral, feminine aspects of my music. Being unapologetically vulnerable feels wild – it’s breaking down boundaries, a return to something primal.”
